The application and usage of the clear braces is slightly different than the traditional metal braces. The first thing that you need to know is that the clear braces are made up with the mixture of plastic and metal but metal is not actually visible when they are applied. The clear braces are not fixed in the same way as the other kinds of braces are. In order to wear the clear braces you will first have to wear your metal braces for two weeks, after that you can get your clear braces fixed. Unlike the traditional metal braces, the clear braces can be taken off occasionally. Whenever you have to clean your teeth or braces, you can put the clear braces off for a while, without going back to your dentist. The average time period required for clear braces to take effect is approximately one year.

Clear braces have many advantages to offer to the individuals who do not want to use the traditional metal braces. The most important advantage is that the clear braces can be put off for a while when ever you don't feel comfortable or you have to clean the braces or your teeth.
